Where to look first
Domestic participation uses OpenTrack athlete records. Performance levels use published World Athletics Saudi country lists; their coverage differs. Both year comparisons run through 31 October.
Like-for-like period
Same calendar cutoff
An athlete is counted once nationally in a season after recording at least one valid result. “Not seen” means no result in this comparison period; it does not establish that an athlete has left the sport.

Where is depth changing?
| Age group | 2025 athletes | 2026 athletes | Athlete difference | Results difference |
|---|
These compare the size of each age group. Athletes move between age groups from one year to the next.
Largest reductions
Aggregated across sex and age groups. Events not contested in 2026 are labelled explicitly.
| Event | 2025 athletes | 2026 athletes | Athlete change | Results change | Status |
|---|
Results are linked to clubs using the membership active on the competition date where available. A programme day is a date-and-location proxy because the performance feed does not provide a competition ID.
| Club | 2025 athletes | 2026 athletes | Change | Retained | 2026 results | 2026 events |
|---|
| Event | Category | 2025 athletes · Jan–Oct | 2026 athletes · Jan–Oct | 2026 best | 2026 top 8 median | Seen in both years | Improved available SB |
|---|
Athlete counts use the same January–October cutoff. Marks and improvement use the available season records: full 2025 and 2026 through October. Improvement compares the same athlete, event and age category; it is not a same-date comparison. A top 8 median uses up to eight athletes when fewer are recorded. Wind-assisted sprint and horizontal-jump marks are excluded.
| Date | Medal | Athlete | Event | Mark | Competition | Host | Evidence |
|---|
A podium placing is not automatically a championship medal. The competition must be a recognised international Championship or Games, such as Asian, Arab, GCC, World or Olympic competition. Relay medals appear only when the source links the relay result to the athlete.
01 · National picture
Taller bars mean more recorded athlete-event positions at that level. Each panel has its own scale; compare 2025 with 2026 within a panel.
Points compare the standard of performances across events. Each card gives a 100m example for the selected sex, so you can read the level as a familiar time.
Levels are cumulative: an athlete reaching 1,100 points also counts at 900 and 1,000. A person competing in two events counts in both. Counts use published World Athletics country lists.

How many athletes went beyond a particular mark?
Use seconds, metres or m:ss.00. Athletes equal to this custom mark are excluded.

These are transparent development references, not federation selection standards. The points levels can later be replaced or supplemented with approved Saudi-specific targets.

These are historical performance zones, not qualification standards and not a count of medals won. Actual championship medals require a separate championship-results record.

Ranks use legal season bests in the exact selected event and sex. Wind-assisted and unknown-wind marks are not used to order athletes. OpenTrack coverage is domestic; World Athletics coverage can include overseas results.

Improvement and current position
Each dot is one athlete-event. Further right means a stronger position in that exact event; higher means greater season-best improvement.

This is observed season-on-season change, not a talent score, prediction, support recommendation or selection decision. Large changes can reflect maturation, event changes, source errors or incomplete competition records and must be reviewed in the athlete profile.

The exact event selected beside each athlete drives all figures below. These are roster-level evidence checks, not coach ratings.

Results are recorded performances in the selected event; sorting uses the 2026 total. SB change sorts by percentage improvement so different events can be compared. Points show the 2026 result score where an exact senior-event score exists; — means none is available.
An athlete is linked automatically only when OpenTrack already records one consistent World Athletics ID. Suggested links combine name similarity, the same event and comparable marks. They are never applied automatically.
Matching-evidence labels help order the manual review. They are not probabilities or proof that two profiles belong to the same person. The compared event is shown on every suggested match.
Accept and reject choices below are a local review draft in this browser. They do not change OpenTrack, World Athletics or the Podium Pathway database.
This review links the two sources for future athlete profiles. Accepting or rejecting a World Athletics match does not change the domestic athlete or result counts shown here.
Reviewed choices remain in this browser until saved.
